Since I was born and raised in the country where human rights were systemically oppressed and ignored I decided to become a lawyer very early on in my life in order to help people fight injustice. In Canada, I discovered that even in this democratic society people’s rights are often violated and also have to be vigorously defended. Thankfully, here I can actually do something about it.
I know that many innocent people often become victims of circumstances and many good people sometimes make mistakes. It is my goal in every case to protect my client’s rights, clear their names and obtain just and fair resolution of their legal problems.

My office is conveniently located in Richmond Hill close to Yonge Street, Hwy 7 and Hwy 407. When you call my office, you will speak to me directly. While I am often in court, I check my voicemail, text messages and emails very frequently and will respond to you promptly. When you retain my services, you will always deal with one lawyer, the lawyer who handles and knows your case. I understand that my clients have busy work and family schedules, so evening and weekend appointments are available.
Affordability
I normally handle criminal cases on a block or flat fee basis which allows my clients to properly plan their financial expenses related to their defence. The block fee charged depends on the nature and complexity of the case and is agreed upon in advance of you retaining my services. I always try to make my fees commensurate to your personal financial situation. I accept variety of payment methods, including cheques, cash, Visa, MasterCard and e-transfers and offer different payment plans to my clients. I also Legal Aid certificates in criminal cases.
In civil and family cases, I usually charge an hourly rate which is fair and reasonable in view of my legal
experience.
Cross-discipline training
My practice is not confined to only one area of law and I often provide services to the same client in different matters. For instance, I frequently handle criminal cases arising out of the family break-ups along with divorce proceedings.
This gives my clients comfort of dealing with one lawyer for all their legal needs. Also, I am often able to use materials from one case in another making my services that much more effective.

My husband and I met over the Internet and then he sponsored me to immigrate to Canada. Some time after my arrival, however, our relationship went sour and he decided to get rid of me by making false allegations that I threatened to kill him and that I poisoned his dog.
My trial lasted five days. The Crown called three different vets but after Mr. Ashurov cross-examined them the judge could not even conclude beyond a reasonable doubt that the dog was poisoned let alone that I poisoned him. Mr. Ashurov exposed my husband’s many lies and the charges were dismissed. Mr. Ashurov also instituted a divorce proceeding and obtained much needed spousal support for me from my husband.

Acting on the tip from a bank employee, the police officers stopped and searched me finding several forged bank cards. They later executed a search warrant in my home and found ½ pound of marijuana together with a debt list.
